The Motlow baseball team dropped both games of a doubleheader to the Bryan College JV on Feb. 7 in Dayton, TN. Bryan won the opener 7-3 and the nightcap 10-5.
Motlow (1-3) will travel to Millington, TN, for four games this weekend. The Bucks face Glen Oaks at 11 a.m. on Friday, then play State Fair at 1 p.m. On Saturday, Motlow will play Northwest Mississippi at 1:30 p.m., then finish the weekend against Northwest Shoals at 4 p.m.
In game one against Bryan, the home team scored three runs in the second inning and never trailed. Julius Scearce had two of Motlow's three hits, with Gabe Sibert getting the other.
Jake Gulley took the loss on the mound, allowing four runs in 2.1 innings pitched. Evan Rom, Carson Cheek, and Tucker Allen also pitched for Motlow.
