The Motlow Bucks jumped out to a 43-33 halftime lead and never looked back as they beat visiting Tennessee Valley Prep 99-80 Wednesday night in a men's basketball game at Copperweld Arena.
Motlow (4-10, 1-5) will complete the first half of the season when it hosts non-conference foe Calhoun (AL) Community College on Friday, Dec. 9, at 7:30 p.m. The next men's game will be Wednesday, Jan. 11, when the men host the Fisk University JV squad at 5:30 p.m.
The Bucks shot a blistering 54% from the field against TVP and hit 12-14 free throws. Motlow connected on 10-30 shots from 3-point range.
Sophomore Raymon Adams had another big night, leading Motlow with 29 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists.
Lavonte Harris pulled down 10 rebounds and added seven points.
Kane Reed added 15 points and four rebounds. Mi'Quan Tucker scored 13 points with six rebounds and three steals.
Javon Martin had a splendid all-around game with eight points, seven steals, four assists, and three rebounds.
Brayden Cashion and Andrew Lamuno each added nine points. Debron Russell scored six points with six rebounds.
