The Motlow Bucks fell behind 7-1 after two innings and went on to drop a 14-6 decision to Northwest Mississippi Saturday afternoon in a college baseball game played in Millington, TN.
The Bucks (3-5) were led by Julius Scearce, who continued his early-season hitting prowess by gathering three hits, including a home run, scoring a run, and driving in a run.
Motlow's pitching couldn't slow down the Northwest offense as they slammed out 14 hits and drew seven bases on balls.
Gabe Sibert and Tucker Allen added RBI's for the Bucks. Sibert had a triple and Kaleb Gupton added a double.
Jake Gulley pitched the first two innings and allowed seven hits and seven runs. Evan Rom pitched 3.1 innings, allowing six runs on four hits with four walks. Carson Cheek got the final two outs on the mound for Motlow.
