About Motlow College Athletics

Motlow College is a member of the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association and participates in Region VII of the National Junior College Athletic Association.

Five varsity sports make up the athletic department - men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball, women's soccer and softball. Men's basketball is the only sport that was established when the college opened in 1969, and women's soccer is the most recently added, starting play in 2017

Average roster sizes for Motlow athletic teams are: Baseball - 28, Softball - 22, Soccer - 20, Women's Basketball - 15 and Men's Basketball - 15.

Both basketball teams play their games inside Nisbett Center in the Copperweld Arena. Team locker rooms and coaches' offices are also located inside Nisbett Center.

The baseball team plays its games at the Driver Baseball Complex, while the softball team has an excellent field that has not yet secured corporate naming. Soccer does not have an on-campus facility, and plays its home games at area high schools and the Johnson Lane Recreation Complex in Tullahoma.

Admission cost to soccer contests is $5, while admission to all other Motlow athletic events is free. There is always a fully-stocked concession stand open that includes hot dogs, popcorn, candy, and soft drinks.

Soccer season opens in late August and runs through the NJCAA tournament in November. Basketball season traditionally begins in November and runs through the NJCAA Tournament in late March. Baseball and softball seasons begin in late January and runs through the NJCAA tournaments in May.
