Motlow student-athletes make Dean's List, Honor Roll during spring 2018 semester

Motlow State Community College student-athletes had another outstanding year in the classroom, including 38 who earned academic honors and eight who logged a perfect 4.0 grade-point average during the spring 2018 semester.

The College ended the 2017-18 academic year with 85 student-athletes on the rosters of its five intercollegiate teams: baseball, softball, women's soccer, women's basketball and men's basketball. Forty-four percent of them achieved placement on either the Dean's List or the Honor Roll during the spring 2018 semester.

All five Motlow athletic programs had a team grade point average over 2.5, with women's soccer leading the way with a 3.41 GPA and softball close behind with a 3.31 GPA. The following student-athletes achieved academic honors during the spring 2018 semester.


Soccer - Megan Blumhoefer, Tyler Feaster, Natalie Feaster, Hannah Feaster, Paige Loveless, Bethany Porter, Ali Shelton and Bailee Walls.
Baseball - Tre Bailliez and Kirby Smith.
Softball - Ciera Dobbins, Madison Hopkins, Ariel McAtee, Breanna Owens, Caroline Sarris, Sarah Wilson and Madison Woodruff.
Women's Basketball - Miranda Boutwell and Tajah Clark.


Soccer - Emily Bryant, Kinsli Houck, and Keely Smith.
Baseball - Jordan Burdette, Jase Carvell, Chandler Hardiman, Darin Keller, Taylor Lawson, Justin Parker and Matthew Young.
Softball - Jennifer Corbitt, Kendall Durard, Haley Hinshaw, Casie McCreary, Emily Parks and Kylie Thackerson.
Women's Basketball - Breanna Jones.
Men’s Basketball - Rashawn Fredericks and Dillon Smith.

Soccer Team
The Motlow State Community College women's soccer team earned a combined 3.41 grade point average during the spring 2018 semester. Six student-athletes on the team earned a perfect 4.0, and Hannah Feaster, top row fourth from left (No. 16), earned a 4.0 for the entire year. The squad will begin its second season when official practice opens Aug. 1.
