Tori Raby-Gentry was named the head softball coach at Motlow College in June, 2011. She played for Motlow for two years after her graduation from Lincoln County High School in 1995. She went on to play at Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens where she made All-Region both years and as a senior was named Player of the Year for the Tennessee Valley Athletic Conference (TVAC) which is now the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC.) Raby-Gentry earned her bachelor's degree in exercise science and returned home to complete her master's at Middle Tennessee State University. While doing so she volunteered her time to work with the pitching staff at Motlow under former head coach Gary Barfield.

Coach Raby-Gentry's coaching career began at St. Catharine College in St. Catharine, Ky. While there just one year, she coached the first winning season recorded for the school. After a stop at Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C. as a Division II pitching coach, she became head softball coach at University of Virginia's College at Wise. During her first year, the team made it to the national tournament for the first time in the program's history.

Raby-Gentry returned to Motlow after being the winningest coach in UVA-Wise history, compiling a record of 202-154 in her seven seasons. During her tenure, UVA-Wise captured four conference titles, two regional titles, and appeared in three national tournaments.
